The Purpose of Eastview Baptist Church is to Know, Grow, and Show Christ.
EASTVIEW STRATEGY
KNOW ... our expectation is that every member will know Christ, not just know about Him. Knowing Him begins with a choice to receive Jesus' offer for forgiveness made possible through His death on the cross. Knowing Him develops into life transformation and mind renewal which continually produces new levels of freedom and joy in following Christ's leading. When Christ is known in this way His glory is revealed in the persons' life.
We expect that transformed people will come to know the church through membership. As members work together to know, grow, and show Him, a community develops which provides more resources for living in Christ's truth and power. We teach these principles in our Know 101 class.
GROW ... our expectation is for everyone who truly knows Christ to continue in being transformed by Him. Like he blessed man in Psalm 1 he will be firmly planted, fruitful, and flourishing. Growing in Christ is listening to and following Him. Growing is applying His truth in choices. Growing happens as one discovers, deepens, and dispenses the knowledge of Christ. We teach these principles in our Grow 201 class.
SHOW THE CHURCH AND THE WORLD ... our expectation is for every member to have a ministry that serves those inside and outside the Church. Christ gives each person talents and capacities in order to build a team that will do the work of the ministry; to commit to using their time, treasure, and talents to be the body of Christ in our world in our time. We teach these principles in our Show 301, and 302 class.

We value the authority of the Bible and Biblical teaching.

We are committed to the fact that lost people matter to God and therefore, they should matter to us.
We are committed to gathering weekly to worship God, be exposed to His Word, and benefit from the mutual encouragement of fellow believers.
We value the concept of every member a minister.
We value the priesthood of every believer that is characterized by hearing and following Christ.
